FörTur gives priority on tourism in Sweden
Föreningen Turism i Sverige – FörTur – is a trade association for Swedish tourism. FörTur actively promotes the development of the Swedish tourism industry as well as good relationships with the media, government agencies and business.
FörTur represents local and regional tourist organisations, holiday cabin agencies and companies that sell experiences/tours in Sweden. FörTur is also responsible for authorising Swedish tourist offices. FörTur members provide information to tourists and produce package tours and events for Swedish and foreign travellers.
As we monitor events in the industry, we put priority on development and trends. Our actions are based on you and your needs. And your cause is our priority. At present, we have nearly 400 members. And when more tourism professionals understand the priority we put on the future, we hope we will become many more.
FörTur stands for Föreningen Turism i Sverige – i.e. the Tourism Association – and is a bit of wordplay, as well, since "förtur" means "priority."
Quite simply, we give priority to the future.

- We track developments and trends in the tourism sector.
- We promote greater access to Swedish tourist products.
- We develop good relationships with government agencies, business and mass media.
